Workout detail chart - some new updates

A few of you noticed and have asked about recent updates to the workout detail pages. Yep - we've added some new features. Lets go through them.

Interval and Pause Markers

First up you may have seen two new buttons on the chart toolbar. These buttons allow you to show markers on your chart and map view.

Interval markers allow you to pick a type which matches the options on the Intervals tab:

  • Laps - Show lap markers recorded by your GPS watch
  • Hills - Show a marker for the top of climbs and the bottom of descents
  • Miles or Kilometers - Show markers at regular distance intervals

Next to the interval option is a button to show or hide pauses in your workout. If you've hit STOP during your workout, or use your GPS auto-pause feature, this will show exactly where the pause happened.

As we develop our segment analysis tool, you'll see these interval markers start to come alive with hover and click options to dig further into the details of your workout.

Chart Hover Tips

The second new feature we added is chart tips. You can now move your mouse pointer over the chart to see exact values for each of the metrics you've chosen to show. While you move your pointer you will see a live update of the same position on the route. Nice!
